Project Description

The Arts of Crafting and Playing | 工藝與遊戲之間

Description:
Sam & Partners produces children’s playsets and accessories for the ‘dough’ toys category. The company required fun and readily commercialised designs to work with their large range of toys and playsets.
The project focused on improving parent-child bonding and child education through play. ‘Dough’ play allows children to explore their creativity and develop fine motor skills by recreating what they see in real-life such as animals, food, crafts and daily objects. Using their own hands and simple tools, the children also let their imagination go wild in this form of play where the sky’s the limit.

The design freshmasonries explored the finer aspects of commercial reality when creating their designs. Child psychology, parent-involved play, play value, ergonomics, production processes and materials were considered very carefully to create designs that are not only fun and educational, but also production ready and appealing to the target markets.

THEi and Swinburne design freshmasonries and staff collaborated closely to deliver a range of designs to the client, giving them a wealth of options with strong commercial merit.
