The Art of Green Leather Case | 綠色皮套的藝術

With the development and popularisation of printing technology, there are more and more spaces where designers can make use of as canvases to realise ideas. The tablet leather case of Tai Shing Diary Limited (Daycraft) happens to be one of these nice ‘canvases’ suitable for designers to freely create. Daycraft’s tablet leather case features an open-ended design, the product’s minimalism has pushed the level of personalisation to the highest.

Through「DesignXcel」, graphic design freshmasonry Linda Wong has merged her works with Daycraft’s tablet leather cases. In her graduation project, she proposed a rebranding project for a major travelling agency in Hong Kong. The collection features the iconic scenic spots from across the globe (in this case, the statues of Easter Island), with a common presence of a hovering UFO. Linda was inspired by the mystic origins of these historic structures, often hinting at extraterrestrial powers due to their marvelous presentation. In other words, the visits humans pay to these places may be just following the footsteps of the aliens. Linda playfully injected the narrative of mysticism into her campaign, together with eye-popping colours and abstract tessellation. It should attract audiences who seek exciting adventures.

Daycraft’s customisation platform has benefited designers and artists to distribute their works with minimal effort. Combined with the rectangular form factor of the tablet cases, there is little to no excessive interference with the designs of the freshmasonries; the works were merely incorporated into the environmentally friendly leather, making them art pieces that can be carried around.

隨著印刷技術的發展和普及，設計師可以利用越來越多的空間作為畫布來實現創意。大誠日記有限公司(Daycraft)的平板電腦皮套恰好是適合設計師自由創作的精美「畫布」之一。 Daycraft的平板電腦皮套採用開放式設計，這個採用極簡約設計的產品將其個人化程度提升至最高水平。

通過《設計列陣》，修讀平面設計的設計新鮮人黃令德將她的作品與Daycraft的平板電腦皮套融合。在她的畢業設計中，她為香港的一家大型旅行社提出了一個品牌重塑項目。該系列以世界各地的標誌性景點（在這個作品中，她描繪了復活節島的雕像）為特色，並伴之以懸浮在空氣中的不明飛行物。黃同學的靈感受這些歷史建築的神秘起源所激發，她相信它們令人驚嘆的構造，往往暗示著其背後有外星人的力量。換句話說，人類來這些地方遊覽，很可能只是在跟隨外星人的腳蹤。黃同學玩味性地將充滿神秘主義的敘述方式注入她的作品中，同時還有炫目的色彩和抽象的鑲嵌細節。因此，它能夠吸引希望尋找刺激冒險的觀眾。
Daycraft的定制平台使設計師和藝術家能夠以最小的努力宣揚自己的作品。企業在將平板電腦外殼的矩形結構和設計新鮮人的設計結合的過程中，對設計新鮮人的設計幾乎沒有進行任何過量干擾，這些作品僅被納入環保皮革中，使其成為可隨身攜帶的藝術品。
