Lemon Lam Collection

Description:

To Fine Art freshmasonry Lemon Lam, art is process of observing the outside word and expressing her innate feelings in the form of visual media. Her artistic practice is not defined singularly, it ranges from mixed digital media to oil paintings. Instead the mediums are merely forms of expressing her unique point of view towards the world. Under the facilitation of 「DesignXcel」, Lemon has worked on a range of products that offered her the opportunity to reach a different scope of audiences. In the collection, she adapted her mixed media and oil painting works that were influenced by the styles of expressionism, applying bold strokes and abstract shapes to depict the her version of the everyday landscape.

Lemon collaborated with loudspeaker manufacturer Delta Blues Audio Limited as well. Their line of speakers features a unique circular and planar ‘resonance disc’ that gives its distinct high-fidelity audio signature. Its modular construction allows the disc to be fabricated in different materials and craftsmanship, at the same time offering a blank canvas for different artists to express their artworks. Lemon’s oil painting was digitally replicated onto Delta Blues Audio Limited’s NX-1 speaker, providing a multi-sensual experience to the audiences.

Two paintings from the same collection were applied on ‘EcoCan’ through state-of-the-art cylindrical printing technology. Taking inspirations from a classic soda can, ECO Concepts’ design takes on a water bottle, aptly named ‘EcoCan’, which is familiar yet surprisingly modern. The material PLA boasts heat resistance up to 120°C, BPA and toxic free. The vivid colours of oil painting and the faithful representation of the panoramic scenery were only made possible with the cylindrical printing technique.

Team Green® designed the Doggy Chair to be a fun, self-assembled piece of furniture that can be flat-packed, easily transported and customised with a variety of full colour-prints. Lemon’s mixed media work was featured, with the background of a photographic image of the sunset, superimposed with abstract strokes of colours that resemble layers of clouds. The rosy gradients of the sunset give the chair a warm presence when placed in the interior.

T-shirts may be the most recognised form of art by popular opinion. Its huge demand has pushed collaborators like on-demand fabrication powerhouse TML Apparel Limited and streetwear clothing brand Nothing Ugly to continually innovate in this realm. Through state-of-the-art digital printing technology, they try to eliminate overhead costs associated with traditional printing methods, acting as an accessible platform for local artists to distribute their creative works. This transforms a T-shirt from an article of clothing, to a blank canvas for self-expression and human subjectivity. Lemon’s abstract paintings feature harmonious blocks of colours pleasantly as wearable arts.

對設計新鮮人林敏宜而言，藝術是觀察外在世界並以視覺媒體的形式表達自己內在感受的過程。她的藝術實踐方法並不是單一的，從混合電子媒體到油畫均有涉獵。相反，媒介只是她表達對世界的獨特觀點的一種形式。在《設計列陣》推動下，林同學製作了一系列產品，使她有機會接觸不同的受眾範圍。在這次的作品系列中，她將自己受表現主義風格影響的混合媒體和油畫作品應用其中，透過大膽的筆觸和抽象的形狀來描繪她眼裡的日常風景。

林同學還與揚聲器製造商Delta Blues Audio Limited合作。它們的揚聲器系列採用平面、圓形的「共振盤」，而共振盤是Delta Blues Audio Limited揚聲器系列的一個獨特標誌，給予揚聲器與眾不同的高還原度音質效果。Delta Blues Audio Limited揚聲器獨特的模塊化結構令品牌令「共振盤」能夠以各種材料和工藝製造，同時為不同的藝術家提供創作空間。 林同學的油畫被電子化地複製到Delta Blues Audio Limited的NX-1揚聲器上，為觀眾提供多重感官體驗。

ECO Concepts通過最先進的圓柱形印刷技術，將系列中的另外兩幅圖畫應用在其產品「EcoCan」中。 ECO Concepts的設計靈感源自經典汽水罐的形象，他們採用了一個名為「EcoCan」的水瓶，這種瓶子既令人熟悉，又意想不到地富現代感。 PLA材料具有高達120°C的耐熱性，無BPA也無毒。全賴圓柱印刷技術，油畫的鮮豔色彩和全景圖對風景的忠實再現才得以展示出來。

綠團設計的小狗椅是一種有趣的、自組裝的家具，它可以扁平包裝，便於運送和定制各種彩色印刷品。林同學的混合媒體作品以日落時分的攝影圖像為背景，並在上面添加了類似雲層的抽象筆觸。夕陽呈玫瑰色的漸變狀態使椅子放置在室內時能予人溫暖的感覺。

在主流觀念中，T恤可能是最具認受性的藝術品。人們對其需求極大，促使合作夥伴如按量製作市場巨頭TML Apparel Limited和街頭服裝品牌Nothing Ugly在這個領域中不斷創新。通過最先進的數碼印刷技術，他們試圖消除與傳統印刷方法相關的間接成本，作為本地藝術家宣揚其作品的便捷平台。此舉將T恤從一件衣服轉變為可以用來表達自己和人類主觀思想的白畫布。林同學抽象的畫作應用在可穿戴藝術中，與襯托和諧的色彩相得益彰。
